Anyone notice how Matt's music has really matured over time? You can tell he's developed his voice and creativity as the albums progress. Last night I listed to all the cd's in order and it was amazing to hear how greatly he's improved.

he scrapped it, something along the lines of the record company wouldn't let him use it

No... his schedule wasn't too good for it, especially after he hurt himself at a concert... he offered fans a chance to make digital videos for it but I don't think it really worked too well.

yeah i never noticed that

thanks for the sarcasm...
I was just surprised by how poor is voice sounded on LOTGA compared to how it sounds on Avalanche. If it wasn't for his improvement he would never have made it very far...

back to his book for second. can someone explain to me what he meant when he put Our Lady Peace in a top list of "Invaluable Inventions of the 20th Century"?

most of those are a scathing remark, notice they start around 60 or something, he was mad at one time about everyone, "thinking they were the best thing since sliced bread"

Probably that they were pointless... I don't think there's any hidden metaphor there... it's pretty straight forward

he was being ironic.
invaluable = priceless, precious.
he put olp on a list of things like "those lawn sprinklers that go tch-tch-tch..." and "glow in the dark condoms that tell time."
real "precious" items.

ah, that makes sense. it didnt make sense to me before b/c he listed OLP as an "invention". although, i think he called OLP a "put-together band" before, which is kind of like an invention

Where would one acquire a Matthew Good book? :P

Do you have to get them off Amazon, or do they have them in bookstores?

Chapter's were carrying it when it came out, you might have to get it off amazon now though, i got my through a order at my local Coles store, probably if you just put a order in at any corporate owned book store they can hook you up

it's rather shizophrenic but there's just enough pieces of genious in there to keep you loving it, plus Night Opus makes it all worth it
