So, today I was having lunch with two of my female friends.

Within minutes the conversation turned to periods, relationships, sex, etc.

It was very much like reading this thread, and I was super surprised that they were comfortable talking about that stuff with me.

Rob glad you feel comfortable joining in the discussion.

If i could take a pill to never have another period, i wouldn't touch it for a million dollars.

I would definitely consider it. I would give away my monthly agony even if it caused me other health problems!

i didnt do well with the pill, it made me feel weird, so i just cant imagine what would happen with such a high dose pills. Don't get me wrong the cramps, bloating, sore brests crankiness would definitely not missed I just worry what would replace it.

Since mine works just great, I wouldn't mess with it either. Especially when I want kids.

Messing with nature... I'm hardly one to condemn that as I sit here filling my body with alcohol.

I wouldn't either, I'm on the birth control pill and I skip them everyonce in awhile. But I'd like babies in the future, so naah, I already have had enough infertility issues and i'm only 18!

Yeah, the pill screwed with my body bad enough... one that gets rid of my period forever would probably kill me. I now try to not take any medication unless I seriously can't deal with whatever's ailing me.

The thing about that never have a period again pill is that it totally does away with that increased risk of breast cancer that you get with the normal pill. That might sway it for me. When my periods were a little screwy I didn't go to the doctor cos I thought they'd just suggest putting me on the pill, and I reckon my risk of getting breast cancer is higher than normal anyway so I don't want to add to that. If I could have a pill that didn't have that risk, the not having any periods would be an added bonus. The thing is, it's not screwing with your hormones as much as you think - in the past people would go for years without having periods because they were always either pregnant or breastfeeding.
