it is soooo fake. it totally glamourizes (sp?) forensics and gives people an unreal view of it. it is so inaccurate. and now, because of csi, there are so many people who want to get into forensics because they want to be just like csi. and the people who have a real passion for forensics (like me) are forced to drop out of the program because of all the csi wannabes.

I do like CSI but I think it's kind've unrealistic. On CSI, 95% of the time the case is solved, and...that doesn't happen. It's also seemingly solved in a short amount of time, and that doesn't happen either; sometimes it takes years for enough evidence and enough forensics to be done for a case to finally be closed.

things wrong (unrealistic) with csi:
1. it is so dark in the lab. how the hell do they get any work done? you need bright light to see tiny little details.
2. some of the tests they use on the show haven't even been invented. some tests aren't even possible. the chief coroner came in to talk to us at school and he was saying that some of the tests they use on csi would never work in the real world.
3. the people on the show must all be a genius, because they do the work of over 200 people. one second they are working in the biology section, the next second, they are working in the chemistry section, and then 5 minutes later, they are doing autopsies. it doesn't work like that. there are a couple of people who work only in the biology section, there are people who work strcitly in the chemistry section, there are people that only collect evidence, and so on, and so forth.
4. forensics scientists are told very little about the case. they pretty must test the evidence and submit the results to the police, the courts, etc. they do not work to solve the case. they usually do not talk to winesses. they just test the evidence. that's it.
5. what the hell are they wearing on csi? what's with the halter tops? people from the cfs (center of forensic science in toronto) have come to lecture in my class and have said that no one is allowed to dress like that at the cfs.
that's all i can think of for now. someone from the coroner's office or the cfs told us that the people on csi must get botox injections every week. hehe. it was funny.

I agree on that one. Every week me and my mom are like...who the hell dresses like that for work?
I do love CSI though, I dont' really care how unrealistic it is.
Why are you forced to drop out?

guess who i saw yesterday? or at least who i think i saw. i think kyle came into my store yesterday, but i wasn't sure if it iwas him or not. and i didn't want to go up to him and ask just in case it wasn't him and i would look like an idiot. i am pretty sure it was him though.
