Valve should be commended.

By releasing Half Life 2 they're doing more to stimulate the economy than any political group.

was half-life really that good of a game? it didnt look like anything special... but then again, i hate FPS's

The original half-life was a legend in its time, of course it's been about 6 years now.
The think that keeps it popular are the multiplayer mods like counterstrike and day of defeat.

I still think it's a pretty awesome game. It's right up at the top of my list.

By the way.
Some assholes have been attacking Valve and the HL2 sourcecode got leaked.

No wonder it's been delayed.

I feel so bad for Valve. They've been working on this for five years and someone is trying to ruin it for everyone.

The only thing I'm not happy with thus far (aside from the huge reqirements) is the saving. There's checkpoints, which is fairly common. But having just come off playing JA, it's frustrating to play the same parts over and over. For example, I'm at this part where hordes of enemies rush in in waves. Fun. Then, there's a couple that I assume are like mini-bosses. I died there. Now I have to go back and get to the hordes, and get through the hordes, just to see if I can beat them this time. :uh:

12 gig hd
Voodoo 3 vid. card
windows 98
4x (not sure on this one) cd/dvd rom
128 mb ram

i need games that aren't diablo 2, tropico 1 or 2, red alert/2/exp. pack, half life, aoe2, populous, balc & white, rollercoaster tycoon, the sims or warcraft 2/3.

anything other than those would be much appreciated.
