it's pretty good eh? He's a great writer. Personally I loved this part...
The annoying thing about the past is that it remains steadfast in your head, unwilling to capitulate when you decide the time has come to alter it to your advantage. The human brain is a thing of absolute mechanical wonderment. Best to make it sound breathtakingly complicated than admit it causes more grief than good.
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

man the thing that got me in the Night Opus was the way matt uses the word "crush." he was definitely playing with it. like how jenni's problems "crushed" him, the "orange crush" she was drinking in the bathtub, and the "crushing" of jenni's father behind the car. such good stuff.
