i don't mean to insult your music tastes or anything, Joey! hell, i'm seeing that band in two weeks with my obsessed friends.
its just different when your friend is a 15 year old teenybopper that says she loves the band, yet all i hear out of her mouth is how hot Benji is. then she turns around and calls her friend a teenybopper for doing the same thing.

no way, I'd say OLP is no more famous here now than they were pre-Gravity.

Heyyyy .. I'm seeing them in 2 weeks too :)

I know what you mean, about the boppers who think they're the greatest band ever based on their looks .. Ohhh Benji and Joel are twins, and they're hot .. it's funny to make fun of the people like that at their shows

are you going to the Toronto (or rather, Mississauga) show on the 19th?
as much as i hate to say that about my friend, the constant benji-related topics are starting to bug me a little. i guess now that i have seen so many little teenyboppers associated with Good Charlotte, that when the name is said ... thats just what comes to mind!

Well .. at least here I've witnessed a surge of younger fans since Gravity, a lot of younger fans actually.

Yep .. Arrow Hall in Mississauga :)

GC haven't always had such a young crowd .. it was nice way back in the beginning when nobody knew who they were *sighs*

My mom liked Somewhere Out There...

My dad thinks it's hippy music

my mom still doesn't know their name. she constantly calls them "our lady of peace" and my grandma got offended because she thought they were making fun of religion or something.

my parents have called it "drug music". i think it was when Automatic Flowers was on the radio one time. yea, they're a couple of odd ones, my parents.
and yep, my mom shoves the "of" in there, and my grandma is proud because she thinks they are a Christian band or something.

My parents like my music for some reason. My dad always asks me to put in Alkaline Trio's "From Here To Infirmary" and personally, that scares me. My mom loves Koufax, even after I told her that half the songs are about the lead singer doing lines of coke. My parents perplex me.

Well I'd say I had a fairly successful weekend. Friday I got off thanks to the piss-poor weather, and vegged. Saturday I went to the rowing ergometer (rowing machine thingies) race and managed a personal best of 2000m in 8 minutes 1 second (which is actually quite terrible for someone in my class, but I don't have high personal expectations). Later on me and my two best buds spontaneously got together and saw Phone Booth, which was absolutely amazing. I think I managed to get in some fairly serious flirting with my female friend, though I have a bad habit of misunderstanding things. I think we may have even done the lean-on-each-other-while-you-watch-the-movie thing, but I may have just been nervous. Today I saw The Core with my buds plus three other friends, and it was good fun, though The Core was just okay.

Whop. I've got a history test to study for. And it's only 7! Wee!
