I got the tickets for my sister and guest.

I was on another forum, mentioning this and how I was a bit concerned about the price, and someone said, "Who cares? It's just money. Do it, or you'll regret it forever."

I know there are other circumstances but... ahhh. :)

It's gonna be an evening that will go down in music history for me ,and im sure for others here as well. I honestly would pay more if I had too, because I know OLP are going to give us back every penny we spent by putting on a show that we will never forget.

Well said Wridsasubway!!!

And MOL thank you so much for the list of unreleased songs...Now the question is where can i find these at to listen to?

I think you can find a huge list in the songs and lyrics link at the top.

Some of these you can find on the hub. Whether it's live versions, or on non-album tracks from compilation CD's.

I think they went on sale this morning, didn't they?

Never mind, I checked ticketmaster, and it's at 2pm EST. So that's in... one hour, I guess.

Good luck!

YOu forgot the early version of Big Dumb Rocket. Wasn't it called Disgusted? I know on the live show from Winnipeg in 1995. That one also has HOME on it. I think that was Duncan's first show with the band..

TW thanks about the posters. I had a feeling they be something along those lines..

Yeah but that was the same song -- just a few different lyrics. There are early versions of Neon Crossing, a few songs from Clumsy, Where Are You, Everyone's a Junkie, etc. which are pretty similar to the songs we know but had some lyrical differences.

Yeah, Disgusted was almost the same as Big Dumb Rocket, minus that big solo at the end. I included Nobody's Wrong though, because the lyrics were really different (besides the chorus) and the music was completely different.

Great tickets avail. still here

I pulled up row 2 for Clumsy - always better to go with buying tix direct from Massey Hall than counting on Ticketmaster.

Trustworthy wrote:hmm requests for charity huh? interesting idea

Requests for charity would be totally awesome.

Here's how I would do it:

FIRST: the band would need to compile a list of songs (rarely played songs from other albums, unreleased, covers, whatever they want) that they would have time to rehearse and be interested in playing -- it isn't going to work if all the requests are for ridiculous covers that do not suit the band at all, unreleased songs they don't remember (I'm sure they don't remember Home or Yourself), or the one song that they wish they'd never written.

THEN: pick the charity (or charities) to be involved, and set up a sort of online store on ourladypeace.net where a fan can pick a concert, a song, and a charity and then donate any amount of money they wish. At each show, the song with the most money donated gets played during the encore -- and perhaps if there is an impressive amount of money donated they would even play more than one... I just know a few super-fans would totally get into a donation war over Trapeze and Stealing Babies, donate a great amount of money, and then if the band played both it would be win-win-win.

I really like that idea. I would definitely be interested in doing that if they played in the US.

The seats I got yesterday for SM were the same as what I could get now. . The CLumsy was a little better then yesterday. I could of had floor but I did not like where on the floor so took the balcony seat instead.

One Question with the charity thing though. Some fans all ready donate to charities. War Child is the one OLP, esp Raine donate and work with most of all. I donate to War Child through out the year and it is over $100..I am looking into donating the miles I just got on Aircanada to them. YOu can now doante your mileage. We do it not to get anything in return but because we want to.

The station here did something similar around Thanksgiving. It was for the annual Hungarthon to raise money for food banks in NYC. If you donated 100 dollars they would play your request on air.. I can see where doing the same here for OLP would come into effect.

I think that is a great idea but you should still donate to a charity even if OLP do not do your song.. I know Raine is heavily involved with War CHild.. That organization does wonderful work and no matter what you should try to donate to them. NO amount is too litte.

As for what Josh said if they did do that say maybe have avote on what songs people ( through twitter, facebook, mysapce, .net etc) hear.. Then put avote up by having donations to that song.. Say $1.00 or up to $5.00 per song. The one with the most votes gets done..

I love the donating money for requests! I agree with a small pool of songs. I suggest:

Trapeze
Not Afraid (Juno)
Vampires! *unlikely :(
Blister
Whatever
Stealing Babies

As said before, I would donate $100 for Not Afraid in Saskatoon!

If they played any version of Not Afraid, it'd be the finished Labatt Blue version I'm assuming, since the Junos version was still being worked on.

I believe they actually liked the non-polished version better, according to Duncan.

I like the raw, live feel of the Junos version better too.
