I thought it was a nametag cuz I worked a lot of part time jobs and always pinned my nametag to my hat after work so I wouldn't lose it.

I can't imagine only have 2 pairs of shoes any more. I'm sure I used to when I was Jen's age (one pair of school shoes and a pair of trainers but I don't even want to think about how many I have now - and I don't have half as many as my friend who came over here at Christmas and bought 10 pairs to add to her already enormous collection!

Many shoes = necessity for a girl!!!

A friend of mine just moved in with her bf (first time for both of them to be living with someone other than their parents). He said, "you are not bringing all of your shoes... we don't have the space so you'll have to pare down your collection" She was really upset and I was thinking "I'd tell a guy to screw off if he ordered me to get rid of half my shoes". Then I saw her shoe "collection" of 250 pairs... only about 50 pairs that are generally worn in a year. The others were not practical so they don't get worn, or they don't fit anymore, etc.

She also refuses to give any to charity... she can't part with them. And she said her shoes are too good for someone who needs charity.

yeah I know. She's like that.

And when I said she's my "friend", I used that term a little too liberally. We're colleagues who are the same age and have lunch together at the office now and again, but we never speak outside of work. A key reason for that would be her "daddy gives me everything I want, I can't stand getting my fingernails dirty, my shoes are too good for people who need charity" attitude.

She could always sell them on ebay and give the money to charity. Though from what you've said, I'm not sure she'd be up for that.
