Ok. In everything I have ever learned in Social Studies classes in my whole life, every Louis encountered has been a "Lou-ee".
I'm going to assume that if you're like, American(or Anglophone Canadian mostly), its "Lou-iss", and if you're anything else, its "Lou-ee".

Louis pronounced "lou-ee" would be the french way of saying it.
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

Yeah. A French person named "Louis" is pronounced "Lou-ee" (like the various french kings).

However, since we're talking about an English speaking comedian's name, Louis would be pronounced "Lou-iss". But his name is Louie, so it's moot.
