I don't think white parents raising black kids is that taboo anymore, or any race for that matter. Kids may not really understand how adoption works, so will replace their confusion with hateful things to say, but alot of them don't really mean it, just don't realize it's wrong.

For instance me sister, (who is black) used to have a really hard time in elementry school, mostly because the kids would make a big deal about her and her family and such because she was the only black kid in the school. They weren't specifically doing it to be rasist, they just made her feel "different", which upset her quite abit. Now that those kids have grown up, its not a big deal at all and no one notices.

It's really annoying when people hear she's my sister and say, "Kindie's your sister? Is she your half-sister because she's black?" and they don't really understand that no, she's my full sister because she's adopted.

Your sister is your sister, no matter what colour her skin is. And her parents are her parents, different coloured or not

Okay, before I begin this story, you have to understand that I'm the palest kid ever, red hair and beyond white. My sister's black, obviously, but she's fairly light. Nontheless, we look NOTHING alike.

When we were in about grade 6, some girl who had known us for years came up to us, and told us that she never knew we had different birth parents because both of us have curly hair.

spain moves closer to legalizing gay marriage

The Roman Catholic Church has attacked the Spanish government's plans to introduce gay marriage, comparing them to releasing a virus into society.

fortunately most people dont feel the same way.

boy they sure seem to have some serious hate for Homosexuals......even though a large part of the clergy is probably homo considering how many boys are getting raped. Maybe if they were open about homosexuality they wou;dn't have to rape their flock members.

"Since homosexuality, adultery, prostitution and pornography undermine the foundations of the family"

Okay, I get how adultery and prostitution is bad, but does he really have to rag on porn?
Man, some of the arguements against homosexuality are absolutely foolish. Being gay isn't like drugs or something where you can pass a law and make it illegal.
What these people can't realize that the problem they have is within themselves. Another group or person is not going to change, nor do they have a reason to because you can't deal with it.

People have real problems with pornography. It is addictive.

fortunately most people dont feel the same way

I disagree. How many states voted a clear yes for an ammendment to the Consitution to ban gay marriage. ALOT of people feel the same way.

Sinead, I thought your parents were strict catholics. Not to pry...but how can your mother be lesbian AND a strict catholic?

man i can't wait for the day when i'm not forced to go to church anymore. i mean i still believe in god, but what the RCC is doing is just ridiculous. i mean i hate when they say, "oh equal rights for everyone, but we won't let gay people marry." well then it's not equal rights is it? honestly, i just can't stand it anymore
