on a unrelated note:
Forward Dean McAmmond won't have to go back to Colorado after all.

The NHL ruled Friday that McAmmond is ineligible to play for the Flames the rest of this season but his trade was not voided. He will be able to practise with the Flames and will get paid his NHL salary. Calgary re-acquired McAmmond at the trade deadline Tuesday for a fifth-round draft pick. The Flames had originally traded McAmmond to Colorado on Oct. 1 as part of the Derek Morris-Chris Drury deal.

right
so
colorado gets its draft pick..
mcammond gets his money
and calgary .. gets fuck all?!
sweet
great rule in this case lol
or atleast great ruling
poor flames organization
theyre already losing money.. the least they could do is give them something.. unless of course its colorado who's on hook for the salary which i doubt

ST. LOUIS (CP) - St. Louis Blues forward Keith Tkachuk will be sidelined three-to-four weeks with a severely sprained wrist.

Tkachuk, 30, was examined by the Blues medical staff Saturday morning and was diagnosed with a severe sprain in the right wrist, the Blues said in a statement.

Tkachuk suffered the injury and left the game when he collided in open ice with Canucks' forward Brad May in Thursday's game in Vancouver.

Tkachuk scored his 30th goal of the season Thursday against the Canucks before leaving the game.

Pronger is gonna be back for sure?!

man i just watched the oilers - stars game and if the oil can keep smyth, isbister and torres for a while.. theyre gonna scary..

smyth is one of the best young power forwards out there.. isbister tonight played hell of a game.. he's gonna be great for them.. tonight he hit, scored, fought, i think he had an assist.. im pretty sure he had the gordie howe hatrick ... k i just checked and no.. no gordie howe hatrick.. he was an assist short.. i thought he had one.. my bad
and then torres is supposed to be everything isbister and smyth are .. just hell of a lot better.. thats 3 power forwards on one team.. how scary is that gonna be to go along with all the other guys they got who can pass and get the puck to the net and all that shit .. not to mention the guys on D like semenov and eric brewer who can shoot and hit.. if they can keep the team together they will be really good

On April 10th it will be finalized. I watched the entire press conference the other day. He was at the Tampa game Friday, and everyone was standing up for him. He better not fuck up this organization like that other bastard did. I don't know what I would do without hockey in Buffalo.

You'd feel like I did back home in MN when the North Stars left.....weeping, pissing and moaning, it would definitely suck.

If only the sports owners could be normal and not corrupt. Galisano has a lot to prove to recover from all the crap......he's got game though, I think.

what a game that was last night canucks vs blues, that would be a great late round series, i didnt think may would make that much of an impact, first game back in a canucks uni and he puts out Tkachuk

Then you have last nights game! Wow the energy between these two teams is AWSOME! Yeah, that hit on Tkachuck is about how the Blues season is going. I don't think May wanted to hurt him but those things happen. Blues V Nucks in the finalls will be a fun series! It's almost playoff hockey time!!

GO BLUES!!

blues vs canucks in the west final would be awsome, i dont care who your a fan of, that would be a great hockey series, i never knew that there was this intensity between the nucks and blues before the last few games.

were u a blues fan back in 95 when they played each other 7 games in the first round?

^no, I didn't become a Blues fan until '97 when I moved to STL. The big rivalry games against the Hawks and the Wings are the ones I remember. The intensity between the Blues and those teams seems to have tapered off. These past two season, it seems like it's shifted towards the Sharks and now the Nucks.

iv been here forever so a canucks fan forever

it started out as a flames riveraly, we played them in the first round 5 times in like 13 years , only the last 2 remember well, now col and edmonton are our biggest

Yeah...almost everyone here was pulling for the Nucks last season after the Blues were eliminated. We'll see what happens this year! If it's a Nucks Blues first round series, I think it's going to go at least 6. Y'all are built for the long grinding playoff hockey style game. Freaking Jovo, Bertuzzi, Linden...damn near everyone on that team is over 6 feet tall! But the Blues can take 'em

theres a possible dallas/Edmonton series in the first round too. that = good hockey.

Bwah. I cannot wait until the playoffs. It's gonna be so weird seeing Tampa and Minnesota in it though. Oh well, good for them.
