[04:31] <mmm_olpness> it was called stiff as a board, light as a feather
Whoo! Thank you, Kym!
I think it was actually "Light as a feather, stiff as a board", though. Man, I forgot it had a name/chant.

My memory is SO freaking bad.

Holy CRAP, I KNEW it had something to do with a graveyard!!!!!
GHOST IN THE GRAVEYARD
First you gather up at least 3 or more people. Then you find a base. Next you choose 1 person to be the ghost. That person will stand on the base and call out 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 and keeps doing that until they get to 12:00. All other players hide while the ghost counts. On 12:00 the ghost yells out "Midnight". Then all the hiders try to run to the base before the person that is the ghost catches them. If a person gets caught they become the ghost.
I so win.

Hmm... we still played it different than that, though.

The ghost had to walk through the yard... midnight just meant they were starting their walk. Everyone could jump out whenever they felt like it... but I remember it being scary to the ghost for some reason.

We had that but I think it was called sleeping lions or something like that.

we should all get together and play these games
i remember light as a feather, stiff as a board. most of the kids thought i was possessed and had magic powers when we were little, so i always was supposed to be at the person's head, because my magic would make it work better or something.
i always thought it was funny

that reminds of a game we used to play called Blink Murder or something. it was always pretty cool, 'cuz people would always freak out and run away.

We used to play Wink Murder. But it wasn't freaky at all. You'd all get in a circle and one person would be in the middle. But first that person would leave the room and you'd decide who the murderer was. Then they'd come back and stand in the middle of the circle and the murderer would wink at people who would then drop down dead. And the person in the middle of the circle had to work out who the murderer was.

and the counterpart to that game, handshake murder, where everyone would walk around and shake hands, but instead of winking, the murderer had a different handshake from everyone else. and the detective had to find the murderer.

Everyone who wants to get together to play these games just needs to come to the next meetup. We're planning on playing.

My entire group of friends discovered we were witches after seeing that movie.
We did "light as a feather, stiff as a board" on the tarmac at recess.

I'm confused, did "Light as a feather, Stiff as a board" actually do anything? I remember when I was younger someone telling me that it would work as long as the person being lifted didn't movie or speak at all.
