So basically, in a field every element has to have an additive inverse (something that you can add to it to get 0) 1+0=1, and 1+1=2 (I'm being lazy here, so let's just accept that those are both true) . . . there has to exist an a such that 1+a=0, and since the only numbers are 0, 1, and 2, 1+2=0.

classic = old and crapy.

mine does stuff your home computer does.

but in calculator format. 89 is clearly superior to the 83 in so many ways.

I have a TI 89 also, but it barely gets used.

I can! :mrgreen: I have a calculator from Radio Shack from probably about 1980 that runs on a single AA battery, and I've only had to change the battery like... once. :lol:

Do they even make non-solar calculators anymore?

My dad got pissed when they wouldn't let me use it in grade 9 science. He phoned the school and asked before I got it, if i could use it for science they said yes, I get to science and they say I can't use it.

haha, what were you taking for science in grade nine?

Umm, we were just doing random calculations for chemistry and stuff that was too large to do in your head, so i had to get a new calculator for that class :neutral:
