Well... I might not drink it if it looked nasty. :P Then I'd throw it out.

Nikki,

We drank the water Duncan tossed to us. That is why he tossed it to us in the first place. Agh, even from stage he is so sweet. :D ,

I use to talk to this girl who said she got Raine's water bottle. The one he drank from and spit in( when you may spit back into the bottle what you didn't drink). She said she drank it. ILL :freak: - NOw that is Nasty. Drinking someone's spit. I don't care who it is.

Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf

Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...

Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...

So glad you could stay
Forever

He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand

You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..

So glad you could stay
Forever

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything

Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

All this water talk makes me think of one of the Silverchair concerts in New York... Daniel passed a bottle of water to the audience, and said it was for everyone, and said to pour then drink from the cap so we'd all get the same amount or something. It was pretty funny. But my favorite part was that Chris handed out one of his bottles, too silently. Was sweet of him. Too bad the jerk that got it hoarded it so the rest of us were still thirsty. *was right next to that guy*

I get really pissed off when bands or people working at the venue give bottles of water out and people hoard them, especially when it's really hot inside/outside.

I like it when bands offer their water. They all ask for so much in their contracts that it's nice to see some of it get used.

  They've always got so many bottles on stage and they never all get used.

What was fun was after Villanova, OLP's drink supply from the dressing room was brought down to those of us downstairs and given out.... too bad I had *just* bought something from a machine.

Best Water Story, 2000- Vancouver Summersault 2. It was indoors, and extremely hot. In the middle of the OLP's set fans started chanting Water, Water. Thank God we were along the front. No way was I getting in the middle. Raine started telling Security to give water out to the audience. Granted you can't give out to thousands of fans, but you had to see the huge water bottles they had off to the side of the stage. They were the size of the ones you see at Water Coolers. Must of been about 10 of them. Finally the guards started handing out cups along the front to pass along.

Worse one was the Northern Lights show(June 02'). It was so hot and humid. Even the band was suffering. From where we were standing you could see Raine walk off the side of the stage and dip his head in a bucket of water. The security guards would tease us in front by drinking water and making nasty remarks if you asked for some. They told us we could always buy at the bar. Yes you could, but when they oversell the place by a few hundred people you could barely move. Plus they had a whole case in front(which is about 24 bottles) When that show ended my friends and I put our heads under the facets in the bathroom. OH GOD that was the worse as far as hot shows go.

SOme of the guards here will give us water if we ask. They know it gets bad around the front. Worse is when they try to pour it in your mouth and it misses spilling all over your face. We aren't idiots. We can pass a bottle around.

Heh, I was at a Uriah Heep show once where it was really hot too. They didn't hand out water, unfortunately, but when the waterbottles were in these big cases filled with icecubes. When the audience saw that we all started to chant for those cubes and a few handfuls were tossed into the crowd. Niiiiice.

I just remembered Rochy... I was so dehydrated and hot that the security guard said to me "here, you really don't look good... your color's really off" and he actually went backstage to get a bottle of water for me cos there was none left out front. That was really nice of him, I thought. I like it when security's not evil.

now on topic of OLP collectibles. We all have something or want something of OLP. I am curious.

What is your most prized OLP possesion( not so much in value sense) and what would you do anything (within reason) to own?

My most prized possesions would be the 7inch blue vinyl of OMA, just because it is vinly and is colored. The other things would be Raines & Steve's picks (the ones actually used at show) and Jeremy Drumstick(used at show)., My autographed setlist form Paris( was my 50th show :D ), and the last would be the personal soundcheck I got in 2000. I was the only person who showed up so it became my own private OLP show. At least for a 1/2 hour-45 minutes anyway.

the one thing on OLP I would love to own(if I ever could afford it) is a gold record of one of the albums you sometimes see on auction.
