i had a calc midterm the day of grad, and i almost didn't make it to grad in time.

yea, probably because it is cheaper to rent out the hall at that time.

hmm, i don't have pics of my grad saved for some reason. i know i scanned them, just don't know why i don't have them on the comp anymore. well, here's a pic of me and my two brothers at my brother's grad in...umm...last year, i think.

i hated my graduation. i slept in, did my hair terribly, didn't give a crap, was late, running into the building with my shoes off (couldn't drive with the shoes on), had to play a french horn solo that i majorly choked on, and had to listen to some bum who failed at saving the men in that fishing boat during the perfect storm give a speech. it was beyond lame. i didn't even take any pictures, i busted out of there and went home asap.

and then i find out that this year, our school had graduation outside... and the speaker was friggin peter jennings!! what the hell?! peter jennings rules!! and we got stuck with the perfect storm rescue man who failed miserably.

It could have been worse. At my school the senior class officers give speeches. They are intelligent, but not good at public speaking. And of course, they thought they were hot stuff because there they were, speaking to over 500 of their classmates and probably 2000 people total. And they all chose to mention September 11 even though they were strongly discouraged to do so by the faculty. Five consecutive speeches about September 11. *puts fingers in ears*

I loved my graduation, it was the best time I had in high school. The actual ceremony sucked. They also had the student body officers and some of the class officers speak. One of my good friends was sbo president. Man...they all sucked. It was so boring and so hot in our gym. But my town does this thing called Operation Graduation. All the parents and businesses donate money or prizes. Then they have this raffle thing and every single senior wins something and they have 4 wheelers and blow up toys and free bowling and tons of food and laser tag. I think I might have mentinoed this before...oh well I can't remember. Anyhow, I won a dvd player, I was stoked.

wow, my graduation sucked. we just went to the hall. put on our caps and gowns. sat around listening to boring speeches. got our diplomas and awards. gave back the gowns. then went home.

I think they do it that way in my town because they don't really want people going out and getting really drunk and someone getting hurt. In my ex's town, they make everyone go to a similar party in the gym and they are locked in till about 6 am. At least we had the choice to go.
