When I am outside of Michigan and I show people where I live, they always give me a funny look. Hey, it's not my fault that they chose to live in a place where you can't use body parts as geography lessons!

I suppose in Italy you could show them with your boot, but what if you aren't wearing high-heeled boots? Nah, hand is much more practical. AND you can show the UP by putting your other hand on top perpendicular to the first. Eat that.
