I don't believe any of you. :P Nam kept telling us that nobody says "eh", then when we went up and visited, we heard it EVERYWHERE. I giggled everytime I heard it.

Oh, and I say "roof", darn it... but I do know a lot of people that say "ruff". :uhh:

Lots of Canadians seem to say 'aboat' instead of 'about' or 'aboot'. Which is also funny

I've definitely heard "aboot" and "eh", especially from my grandparents, who are canadian.

I've never ever in my life heard someone say "ruff", though.

I've heard lots of Canadians say 'aboat' - it's much less noticeable than 'aboot' though, I think you have to be actively listening to how they're saying it.

The lead singer of Three Days Grace said the words 'out' and 'about' so many times as 'oat' and 'aboat' when I saw them on Wednesday I got the giggles :)

a few weekends ago my cousins from Rochester came over and the whole time we were making fun of how they seem to think that long "o" makes a short "a" sound. how do they teach you phonics

I love how Canadians say sorry. Fuff it. I sold some tv screens to some Canadians in Ontario, and they said eh on the phone about a bizillion times. It was great fun. I like to say eh. I feel so freaking Canadian. My coworkers were talking about that commercial and I felt like one!
