I occasionally listen to old madonna. Which scares me because anything she has put out recently is worse then britney.

Yes, I bought the new Outkast cd today, which adds to my guiltiness.

But I swear there's a reason for the purchase. I was at a concert last night, and this local band, King Mob, covered the song Hey Ya, and it was the most fun thing I've ever seen. Then I heard the song on the radio, which made me think of the girl that's in the band, which made me buy the cd. All because they played that fucking Hey Ya song. Still, it was damn good, and I still think that Hey Ya is by far the best single I've heard all year.

I like Outkast too!! I very rarely listen to rap, but Outkast is the only one I actually enjoy. And yeah, "Hey Ya" is a good song.

And here's a funny corollary to Outkast. I am seeing The New Amsterdams on Thursday, and Matt's entire set is of cover songs. He closes with Hey Ya! I am going to see a whiney guy cover Hey Ya with a bunch of emo boys and girls singing along to it, and most likely, pulling my hair. But hey, I can't wait. This shall be the best day ever.

my guilty pleasures list is so extensive i think it may exceed my innocent pleasures list.

ahem

something corporate, although they became a lot less guilty with north.
nickelback. hey, they're from alberta, like me. i am biased. besides, i love the way chad kroeger stands when he sings.
justin timberlake, i know that he's just aping michael jackson, but, come on "i'm gonna have you naked by the end of this song"? shit! you can lock that motherfucker in your shed! that is one hundred percent solid GOLD, boys and girls.
ludacris c'mon, his new album is called chicken and beer and he has a song on there that goes "who let these ho's in my room". bitchin. not to mention, "move bitch" is a timeless classic.
our lady peace. i have a certain sentimental attachment.

What! Have you ever actually listened to it? There's a couple of annoying songs (mmmbop) that got released as singles, but the rest of it actually holds some real gems.

Hey shut up.

If I was ever to listen to rap (which just doesn't tickle my fancy), I'd listen to Outkast. I mean, their stuff is a hell of a lot better and more original than any other rap type music I've ever heard...
