Who cares? we can't accurately predict what the russians would do. speculation does not change the facts. the facts are that the russians defeated germany.

You just hit the nail on the head as to why so many North Americans are so readily willing to go to war. We've never lived in a war torn country (modern war), or had battles fought on our own land, yet we are more than happy to blow up other peoples countries.

only because they ask us to fund/supply/fight their wars for them. we should be neutral like the swiss and not give anyone money and supplies. just work on domestic issues like a real war on drugs, education, and economics. that doesn't help us either.

Reno, I have been preaching that for so long now. I wish we would just stay out of everyone else's business. We can rely on our own country, but in most cases, we do asenine things like trade with people to bring in goods that don't impact us in any way at all, just to help their economies, then listen to them call us Great Satan. I hate FDR. If not for him, we could still be isolationists and actually live our lives by ourselves, instead of sending billions of dollars everywhere to unappreciative countries.

it's like this.
its done and over with, no one can say what would have happened without US support ( im talking monetarily and militarily). we know what happened with the US support, so leave at that. the russians kicked the germans out of their country at stalingrad. so what. it's not like they followed them all the way back to berlin. they basically stopped them from taking over russia. that's all. worthless france was already taken over. and britain was well on its way to bein taken over.
this is the way it went. the US sent support to europe but were the main force in the pacific. we took care of japan and the pacific while the other allies took care of europe. thats the way WWII went.
and you cannot say the US didn't have a direct influence on the outcome of WWII... for the invasion we sent a SHITLOAD of troops. no one can say what would have happened if we hadn't , but we do know that we WERE there and we DID kick alot of ass. so just let it rest. its over and done with.
