APC -- Thirteenth step is the only good new album I've heard in a while..... not to say that it wouldn't stand well if it came out in the middle of a storm of good albums, of course. It feels very different than anything else out there right now and that alone is inspiring -- the fact that even when it seems its all been done an album will catch you off guard and take you somewhere you haven't been before.

Definitly. They're almost like two different bands on each album. Though, I s'pose...they kind've ARE, since they have a new lineup.
Anyone love me enough to send me the Gravity mp3? I ripped it, but I messed up and was doing stuff while I ripped it so it skips, so I just deleted it...I'm too lazy to try again, and if I download it on KaZaA it'll just have that horrendous "SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE." in the beginning :O.

I was never too big a APC fan until a few weeks ago, when some buddies drug me to an APC show. It rocked my socks, so now I'm a fan. APC can put on a heck of a show.
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.
