I just realized that Torres played a bunch of games with the islanders last season, so he's not technically a rookie, oh well, we've still got Marc-Andre Beurgeron.

your right
altho just because he played 5 games last year wouldnt automatically disqualify him..
heres the rules:
Rookie Qualifications
To be considered a rookie, a player must not have played in 25 or more NHL games in any preceding seasons, nor in six or more NHL games in each of any two preceding seasons. Any player at least 26 years of age (by September 15th of that season) is not considered a rookie.

I don't know if anyone got to see the Blues Avs game last night but WOW, all I can say. The Avs offense did what I thought they would...40 SOG last night! You just can't expect any less with all that fire power...however this was the big surprise, don't get me wrong, I'm happy it happened...but Ozzy with an oustanding 39 saves! The Blues D did what it could last night and came out with a win...good job boys!
Oh and congrats to Walt! Career goal # 400!!!

how did aebisher play, i know he looked really good in the 5-0 shutout

Aebischer was solid last night on the shots he faced (26). Of the 2 that was let in, the 2nd one not many goalies could have stop seeing as it was a 3 on 1. Demitra came down the left wing with someone (can't remember) trailing down the center and Walt on the right wing. Pavs made Aebischer commit, and once Abs was down, Pavs dished it off to Walt on the right side and Walt just hammered it in.

after 3 games.. montreal has scored the 2nd most goals in the league.. behind the washington capitals who've played 4 games..
i know its only 3 games.. but fuck.. montreal?! theyre supposed to be "too small" and not enough "fire power" and in some pre-season polls and crap.. they were picked to finish second last in the East.. yes they may still do it.. but it'd take a colossal meltdown.. and souray would have to get hurt again.. as would jose.. and saks would have to not come back.. etc etc
