I think it's safe to say that the lead singer of AFI is the scariest, palest motherfucker alive.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

was anyone else wondering where the hell beyonce's mic was?
you have to, you just have to trust me
whoever i was then i can't ever be again
the faith you've found i've never felt
the terror held in wedding bells
the comfort in "there's no one else"
the truth be told, i'm never going to know

Yeah, I was trying to figure out if she had one of those headset ones, but couldn't see it. Maybe it was invisible.

You know, most of the time, the performers don't perform, but rather lip synch. The two most obvious ones were Britney Spears two years with that Slave For You song or whatever, and Madonna's Vogue. Blatant lip synching.

Very true. Britney lip synched again for the opening with Madonna, but Madonna actually really sung and so did Christina I think. Come to think of it, any live performance of Britney's that I've seen (and no, I'm not a fan, just randomly catch her performances) she has lip synched. Even her HBO concert special. I actually thought Beyonce screwed up the lip synch at one point, but maybe I was just seeing things. I hate when singers lip synch. Live shows are great to see a little variation not studio recordings.

Guess I'm the only one who enjoyed Metallica??? To me, the only parts of that whole show worth watching were Coldplay, Metallica, and Chris Rock. I'd just stop watching them, but I watch them every year with my mom. It's like a tradition.

Here's my insights:

1. "The Kisses" - wrong, it should've been Britney 'n Christina, Madonna ewww!
2. Chris Rock - funniest I've ever seen him
3. the performances kicked ass - coldplay is friggen amazing, mary j blige was good too
4. Johnny Cash + VMA = joke! MTV nominated him b/c they wanted to visit a different "area"
5. Queens of the Stone Age got ROBBED.....friggen AFI, horseshit. I would've settled for Common winning that award also.
6. What pissed me off were videos that have only been out for a few months were nominated/winning. Beyonce Knowles shouldn't have won SHIT.
