Avoidant
Avoidant personality disorder is characterized by extreme social anxiety. People with this disorder often feel inadequate, avoid social situations, and seek out jobs with little contact with others. They are fearful of being rejected and worry about embarassing themselves in front of others. They exaggerate the potential difficulties of new situations to rationalize avoiding them. Often, they will create fantasy worlds to substitute for the real one. Unlike schizoid personality disorder, avoidant people yearn for social relations yet feel they are unable to obtain them. They are frequently depressed and have low self-confidence.

nah
we're all pretty avoidant
that's why we create social worlds via the computer
that way, no rejection or embarrassment
makes perfect sense

this is our "fantasy world"
thank you CM, for prolonging my avoidant personality

yeah, because we all know that anti-depressants make everything all better
sorry, nothing against you, Emily, but me and drugs have problems with each other

good.
being a psychology student, i've come to realize that drugs aren't the final answer
you gotta back it up with something

so that's good that you're doing cognitive restructuring
so is it like trying to rid your mind of negative thoughts about yourself when you are in social situations?

that's pretty much it. i've been going to a pyschologist for maybe 3 months now and just started taking medicine a month ago.

my mommy's on xanax for her anxiety attack problem
she's getting it from her regular doctor
i think she should see a psychologist
but she did that a few years ago and she said it was useless
grr.

i have similar problems that my mom has
and she told me that her anxiety issues didn't start until she was like in her mid thirties
so i'm just waiting for the day when the heredity kicks in and I'll be put on some medication that will make me all cheerful and calm

great.
