There might not have been much he could do at the time, and I'm sure he was in shock. I'm not sticking up for him, but different people react differently to the same situation, especially when it's something as traumatizing as that. I'd like to say I wouldve tried to help people out if I was there, but who knows what I'd actually do if, God forbid, the opportunity arose.

The guy with the camera was there filming a piece on nightclub safety, ironically enough. One of the owners of the club was a reporter for WPRI, a local TV station, and evidently the station decided to use that club for an example. The cameraman said he broke windows to help people get out...I started watching at 3 Friday morning, four hours after it happened, and I had to stop watching after a while.

And now the death toll is up to 97 :(

It's good to know he tried to help. And, wow, that number's still rising? God, that's so sad. Out of curiousity, did they ever find the missing member of the band?
