A band I just checked out today thats really good...

Longwave

I read an article at chartattack.com about them so I decided to check them out, and they didn't disappoint.

theres a local band thats pretty good as well, they're pretty huge in Niagara...

Fuzzbug

Chart Magazine has good taste actually for a music magazine
"How can we justify spending so much on destruction and so little on life?" Matthew Good

"The white dove is gone, the one world has come down hard, so why not share the pain of our problems, when all around are wrong ways, when all around is hurt, i'll roll up in an odd shape and wait, untill the tide has turned.....with anger, i'm dead weight, i'm anchored"- IME, God Rocket (Into the Heart of Las Vegas) ^ Some say this song is about a terrorists thoughts before 911

"Pray for the sheep" Matt Good
"But it's alright, take the world and make it yours again" Matt Good

I felt it in the wind, and i saw it in the sky, i thought it was the end, i thought it was the 4th of July.

"Hold on, hold on children, your mother and father are leaving, hold on, hold on children your best freind's parents are leaving, leaving,.......*AHHH*! " - Death From Above - Black History Month

wow my vitrol dont seem like teen magazine material

i recommend Norma Jean

it is very hardcore music so if you dont enjoy screaming, don't download it, but if you can look past screaming give it a try.

songs: "i used to hate cellphones but now i hate car accidents" and "Creating Something out of Nothing, only to destroy it"

I was kind of hoping for some indie bands in here that I never heard of, but I have been disappointed. Sad, I know too much about the indie scene that isn't local. But hey, seeing that I always mention these guys in any thread ever, check out:

ALKALINE TRIO
Sparta
Mars Volta
Koufax (Damnit Bethany, they're my band, not yours)
Hot Water Music (God bless Alkaline Trio, I'd never have heard of them if not for ALK3)
Hadji and the Turbans (Let me tell you, you will not be disappointed.)
Lucky Boys Confusion (Even though Bort already said them)
One Man Army (Check out S.O.S.)
The All-American Rejects (Good good good band)
Taking Back Sunday

Also people, I would like to say one thing. If you're into the present day emo/punk/indie scene, just download anything by The Cure. It's so worth your time. If not for them, the indie scene would be shitty.

Just download some Alkaline Trio.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.
