I'm going to all 4 shows, hoorj!
Ahree - where do you live? You should take a train or something... make friends with someone who drives... adunno... Before I had my license I always managed to find rides to shows (esp OLP) somehow. This might not work for the worcester show, but for future reference, you should try and find someone who drives that has similar musical taste and likes shows, i've found its pretty easy to convince someone to take you to a show if you beg and pout and stuff.
Aaaanyway, it'll be nice to only drive 1 hour to a couple shows, lol, other than the river rave, i havent been able to have that luxury since July of last year. The sucky drive for me is going to be Burlington, which will be about 3 1/2-4 hours. However, Portland and Worcester are both only 1 hour away, and Hartford is about 2. Yay. I do have to skip a class and get out of a couple early, but its worth it... screw college, its OLP!

I live at least 2 hours away from Worcester...
My parents wouldn't lemme take a train by myself, or with a friend that's my age. I wanted to take a train up to New York by myself to visit my brother and my parents just said "No way in hell. There're too many crazies in the world."

Truer words have never been spoken.
I have said that sentence so many times these past few weeks.

Hey Anna,
I am still looking into getting from Burlingotn to Hartford. There are ways so I might still come up. Thank GOD for vacation. That is why I can go to the shows. As of now I am going to 6 out of the 9, 8 if I do Buffalo(which I am 90% sure I am doing) and Burlington.
After this year I am handing over my crowne to you or Jenny. Which one of you lovely ladies wants it. After this jaunt I will be 4 shows off a major milestone for me.

Again, I'd love to go to the Worcester or Hartford shows, but I totalled my car back in June, and I'm under 25. So if someone can drive me (I live on the outskirts of Boston) or someone can convince me to rent a car for Worcester, or I can figure out a way to be at my parents' house the weekend of the Hartford show, I'm going to go.

Ahree - where in MA do you live? Worcester is like smack in the middle of the state, its almost impossible to be more than 1 1/2 hours away from it if you live in MA...
Gail - are you seriously done with following the boys after this year? Wow. I think once I hit my senior year in college or so I'm going to have to calm down with shows during the school year a bit because I'll be getting into some serious stuff that I cant miss or bullshit my way through. Luckily, I won't be a senior for another 3 1/2 years.
rustynation - give a friend a guilt trip or something... take a train from South Station? I dunno... there are ways to see OLP without a car, I should know, I saw them about 7 or so times before I got my license.

I'm in Weymouth
I know for a fact that it takes at least 2 hours to get there, because it took 2 hours to get to my brother's college and we had to pass through Worcester.

Anybody know if they're gonna play Denver? I really wanna see them, and if they don't come...... I don't even want to think about it.

If anyone knows, then tell me...

Ahree, is Weymouth south of Boston? My hometown is Danvers, which is about 30 mins north of Boston, and all I have to do is take 95 South to 90 West and it takes about 1 hour, a little more sometimes depending on traffic and other stuffs... If you're anywhere near 95, it really shouldn't take more than 1 1/2 hours... do your parents drive really slow?

Yeah, it's south of boston... Doesn't take very long to get to Boston.
Even if the driving thing isn't a big deal...it still doesn't look like I can go.

You are alot younder then me. There are some things I want to do in the next few years. I am just going to keep it local(NY, NJ, Philly area) and I still want to see them In California. That's about it. Then again, you never know. Right now I don't have anything major going on, but I want to move cross country in the next 5 years or so., We will see. I will give my NorthEast/EastCoast crown to you and Anna.
You know the only upcoming show I am not planning to go to is Maine.

Ahree - that sucks, you're at an awkward age where your parents want you to prove you're responsible but don't let you do anything that would allow you to do so. I remember being 15 and wanting to go to shows all the time and the rents made it really difficult for me. I still managed tho, I turned 15 in Dec of '98,had seen OLP twice prior to that, and saw them twice again just before I turned 16. My concert going didn't really pick up until I got my license.
Gail - Have you told the boys that you're planning on slowing down yet? They must've been shocked, lol.

Hey dont blame me!!
After the Hartford show I'll be at 22, I believe it'll be the same for Anna... I don't feel weird being around because I'm really not there all the time, definitely not as much as you and Stace... I think Anna and I are a step down from you and Stace, lol. I just can't afford to travel all the time for them, and during the school year I don't have the time to follow them as extensively as during the summer, college gives lots of homework! I have to skip a class for the portland show as it is, which means I really cant skip another one if I want a good grade... at Emerson if you miss more than 2 classes, every consecutive class missed past that your grade is lowered a half letter... so if I had an A, I'd automatically get an A-. And, considering how expensive tuition is, you bet your ass I'm going to try to get good grades! It's cool though because I'm studying music industry.

22 is alot. When I was yours and Anna's age. i wasn't seeing any band here, there, and everywhere. I couldn't ever see AC/DC with my friend on a school night. I know tha tsounds funny and all. The only reason I can see OLP like this is
1) I am an adult and do what I please
2) I can still aford it.
I really don't mind, because i know people who see lots of bands. I think every band has it's followers. I will say this though. I think School is very important. OLP will be around, but in the end School will help you. I am not scolding you or anytinng. I just laugh when I see people say they are misisng classes for the show. I never did that, and if I did when in High School I am sure my parents would flipped. I am lucky that I get to take time from work if needed. I usually see the shows around my work schedule. I have gone to many shows to come home and go straight to work.
I lucked out this time because I am off the 10th -the 27th, and hav eno plans. I was suppose to go to Australia, but it didn't work out. One year. next year I am going to Maui for my birthday. Can't wait.
still I am glad to see you do have priorities. I can't wait to see you guys. I am excited about that more then seeing OLP. I see them alot, I don't see you guys that often so it will be fun.
