Drowning
Forty times, well it wasn't hard
It was harder then it oughta be
Finally for time and all it's become
and boy and his dad, a lock and a key

Becoming a scene, that's just too long
drowning in the minds of inferior young
and when I find what has been forgotten
I'll come out, weak and outspoken.

Hope and heart and a mind hard to withstand
and all I know is what he wants.
A boy, his mind, his belt, his hideout
and a blindness of the world around us.

Becoming obscene, that's just so wrong
diving in the midst of my own young
and when I find what I've forgotten
I'll come out, armed and awoken
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

Walk Away

slide into the days that you feel,
and you know they are real,
but it's not today.
Rip into a world of unknown,
beyond you and your phone.
When will it ever end?
Cause I won't follow those who set my trends.
And I can't be another who tries to bend
it's time to find a better place to play.

And oddly enough for the hundredth time
I've knelt and prayed,
and all I saw was you and I,
your hands by your side
as you walked away.

Yesterday I felt alone, but much more now
That's all I know. Is what I see,
these things are real, oh I believe.
Oh ya, if the world was dark or fading fast
I'd hope that we'd have one last chance.
I'd try so hard, I'd show I belonged
and now I'm stuck in this final song.

And oddly enough for the hundredth time
I've knelt and prayed,
and all I saw was you and I,
your hands by your side
as you walked away.

And as I sit alone and so far away.
Your back is turned, my face still raw in pain.
Trying hard, tears hold back,
I can't help but think that you'll look back
and on this curb, a poor boy sits
Only now, I've realized this...

And oddly enough for the hundredth time
I've knelt and prayed,
and all I saw was you and I,
your hands by your side
as you walked away.

Years ago I fell upon your grasp,
and now I'm watching you fall away.

And oddly enough for the hundredth time
I've knelt and prayed,
and all I saw was you and I,
your hands by your side
as you walked away.
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

Life is Odd
Forgive and forget
thats what You said to me
I tried not to let down
or hide desperately

But now our world is gone
to another fold
but now my life is odd
I think that's getting old.

Once in a while, you look at me
and laugh at me humbly
tell me that I don't know what I understand
That it's time I redirect you, as my little girl
it's time I laugh at you too, and watch you unfurl.
run around me softly, so I don't stray
run around me softly...

Lazy, misunderstood
thats how you see me
A man, having trouble to decide how to disbelieve
And I walk amongst a world of laughter and wonder
and tell you that I really don't understand...

how once in a while, you look at me
and laugh at me humbly
tell me that I don't know what I understand
That it's time I redirect you, as my little girl
it's time I laugh at you too, and watch you unfurl.
run around me softly, so I don't stray
run around me softly...

damn i was trying to fight it off all summer... argg, i'm back now but it still pisses me off, i was so close to 100 and then the damn wirters block kicked my ass, I always get writers block when nothing is happening in my life, but since school just started and all my friends are pot heads (not all of em but a good portion) i have plenty to write about.

The subtle ways
Why, why do we look outside?
Why do we look for those thrills?
when suddenly life is sweet
barely enough, but free,
why, why do I look for that sigh?
wondering peaceful-like eyes
and i sit still, minds racin'
endless thoughts, contemplation

And this here's a story
a boy, and his heart
barely even basic
no time to start
And this is my sense
it does well for me
and this is the price we pay
for conformity.

And I, know that you can not see
the undying heart that bleeds
when finally something
has been stripped of it's nothing
where thoughts, written about bloody pasts,
glorifying hunger and just how long can this last?

So that boy, now he's an old man
wrinkled and weary hold hands
over his heart, and laying in oak
and trying hard not to see...
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.
