Does anyone else think it's funny that a lot of people say they want OLP to release more high-energy, rockier songs when they're making general statements, but when you get into specifics it's all about Tales from a Grocery List, which is completely the opposite direction? Definitely one of the better songs that we heard which didn't get released, but I never really felt like it fit in with what ended up on Curve.

Someone who I'm fairly certain who posts here, not sure of username here and I'm not using real names, has said Raine has said they are heading into the studio with Arnold Lanni and the songs are "fucking sick."
Figured it should be posted here. Shout out to J.H.for the info.
You heard it right. I spoke with Raine following the Moon vs. Sun show in Toronto tonight. He said that following the shows this summer, they are returning to the studio with Arnold. He is extremely excited about the new material... I can't emphasize that enough. We didn't pry him at all for information, he was really eager to share. When I told him that was breaking news, he responded with "The songs are fucking sick."

Most of the interviews I've read with Raine and Chantal seem to indicate that they will put out a song here and there until they get a "collection of songs" together. I hope someone got video of Where is My Mind last night, which I believe is the song you couldn't identify, Teedus. It was one of my favorite songs from the Hunters Lullaby tour a few years ago. Excited to hear what they do with Lanni. As long as they try to be new and forward thinking, I'm down with it.

Yes, that was it. Is Where Is My Mind? a Moon vs Sun song? It was amazing but seemed a Chantal-only song. I remember only her singing it. But it was drool worthy good.

It's a Pixies cover. During the HL tour in 2008 she sang it, while Raine covered Ohio by Neil Young, and Try Honesty by Billy Talent, with Chantal doing backing vocals on both.

Clearly the Lanni albums are among the most beloved so I'm pretty excited. As Matt said though, let's hope they're looking forward. Hope that chemistry between him and OLP is still there as well. How ecstatic Raine seems about the new material is a good sign though for sure.
