Well I really like "Monkey Brains", I think they did a great job embodying a "modern Naveed" feel with that song... Duncan does some great bass in the live version... the only thing I don't like is the slow-down in the middle that is kinda reminiscent of Raine's solo work which I wish he'd keep separate. And BTW for you Steve haters he does an excellent job in that song (which is live, so I expect the studio to be even better).

they all make eye contact with the fans. if they know you and see you they do. I have had that done by all members. Best was having Raine sing to me. He had never done that before

My soul is weeping with jealousy. All of your experiences and I'm just going to end up as the tween fan that the band talks to because they'd feel bad if they didn't.

I love Duncan, too! He looks like this guy that always talks to me, even though I don't really know who he is. He knows my sister. Duncan seems really, really nice, like... say... the most friendly and kind of your brother's friends. Or in my case, parent's friends.

I don't know squat about Steve. He seems quiet but nice to me. I don't really know.

Jeremy seems hilarious and like an absolute blast... that being said, I have a feeling that I'd feel stupid around him. Funny people enjoy making jokes at my expense. Damn...

Raine seems very nice and like he'd be a very 'inspiring' person to meet. I can see how people may call him rude, but I think that he has a different sense of humor.

Hahaha, Gail, I'm SO going to get the Naked Duncan issue. *Shifty eyes...*

Duncan seems to be friends with everyone's parents.

There is no need to be jealous of any fan. We all have our own special *bonds* with the band. Whether through music, meeting them or befriending other fans. I have alot of great memories, experiences from this band,.

Shane ..Age does not matter. This is one band that has always been fan oriented. Cause they are all fans themselves. They have been kind to all fans. Very rare to hear any true horror stories on this band..

Just to clarify. I have been into the band since 94/95. Since I am an Amerian fan it was easy to meet them because they played small venues. After talking to them before or after a few shows they started to recognize me.. I have been doing this for years so of course I have gotten or done things in that time.. I always said OLP is my lucky band. I feel extremely blessed to have experienced all that I have.

you are jealous. I am somewhat jealous of the younger fans who travels or met the band. I did not start really meeting bands till I was in my early 20;s. Much less travel out of state to see someone..

getting back to the tween dan comment. The band would not talk to you cause they felt they had to. They would talk to you cause they wanted to.. Ask anyone on here who has met them and seen them interact with other fans. I have seen them go out of their way for fans..As I have said this is a truly down to earth, nice band. No real big egos here. They do not look down on the fans.

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

Duncan definitely saved mine and Nikki's asses one ice cold night in Pennsylvania. I will never, ever forget that. That's some shit a real life friend would do.

Explain further, Matt...? :)

That's so nice to know, Gail. It really grinds my gears when bands are bitching and moaning about having too many fans. Even if a band makes horrible music, if they're polite and greatful, I won't hate them; if they're total egomaniacs, then they are in for some... well, nothing, really, I can't do anything about it. Hahha.

I just feel awkward about being a youngin' sometimes. Just because I have barely reached the double digits doesn't mean I don't have a voice to be heard. Stereotypically, 13 year old female fans with blonde hair tend to scream out wishes for baby-making with the lead singer.

I'll stop basing so much stuff on age. It's maturity and personality that matters, anyways.

This is off-topic. I'm pretty awesome at getting off-topic.

I'm so waiting on somebody to turn that last sentence around.

Duncan made sure that we didn't freeze to death one night after a concert. It was something that he didn't have to do, and showed that he is an extremely generous, and good man. I don't know what we would have done without his kindness.

Yes, that is true. I'm sure the lengths to which we would have went to avoid it would have made a good story. Except we would have died so no one would have ever known, and probably just chalked it up to being a little to obsessive with OLP for our own good.

You could've taken a marker and wrote the notes on your skin, so when your bodies were found, they'd have your story written all over them.

I don't think I had a marker. However, I did have the Hi-MD and mics, so I could have chattered the story into the mics just before I started to resemble Stallone in Demolition Man.
