HOLY CRAP GUYS I'M STILL FREAKING OUT! That was amazing!!!

andrea, i didn't see you! although tell the truth, i wasn't really thinking about much of anything after the show except the fact that they played hope, in repair, supersatellite, and two new songs, and that raine dove right into me in the "mosh pit" haha

Holy shit. Supersatellite!? I wasn't surprised when I read Hope, as they played it at PEI (still pretty fucking epic though), but Supersatellite hasn't been played in forever. Plus it's one of my favorites. Damn, you're lucky.

Ya'll have no idea how good that was.
Started with Naveed, Supermans Dead, A/L/S, Hope...

Image

Had some more Wipe that Smile off Your Face, Kiss on the Mouth, Clumsy, Somewhere out there, Innocent, Not Enough, In Repair, One Man Army (No idea of the order...)

Image

Two new songs, called "Right stuff" and "White Flag"

Image

Ended with 4am, Supersatellite, Starseed.

And yes. Its a good pain.

so fucking good. Raine played a lot more, but it sounded fantastic. It was easily the best I've seen them. They were really just so energetic and seemed just explosive playing some of those songs after not doing so for ages. They were just so high energy all the way through. And then Raine molested Saman. God that was great.

My vocal chords burn.

I couldn't believe they played four off Naveed. Awesomie.

The girl behind me had the most annoying singing voice in the world though, seriously. She was singing so loudly and squeakily that I could hear her over Raine, and she was singing THE WRONG FUCKING NOTES
I gave her an evil glare and she stopped for 40 minutes or something though. Concert not ruined.

Niiiiiiiiiiice. Sounds like you guys had a blast.

And, if anyone's wondering, the last time they played Supersatellite (that we know of) was in July 2001.

I'll get Josh to check it out when he comes home. I think it may be from his spambot filter. I'll catch you on MSN later and we'll figure something out.

I do!
Man, I am SO jealous! I don't remember ever hearing Hope live! Does anyone remember if they played it at Edgefest 2006?

What surprised me was how hardcore the people were there. When I saw them here the last couple of times, people were there for the singles. Superman's dead, Is Anybody home... those ones. But everyone knew Hope, everyone knew Supersatellite... and even when they did the Right Stuff, they had the whole audience singing along to the chorus.

I am just still marveling at it all. But it was so high energy. Even the slow songs were dancey and fun. There was no down period, they were on for the whole show. It was like the cut out all the fluff and just left the rock. They didn't have the long intros to Naveed or anything.

And I can't believe how good the band actually sounded. I mean they were fantastic. Raine sounded better than I have ever heard him live. And they seemed so genuinely excited to be playing. I think I had lower expectations beforehand, because they hadn't toured for so long and because Raine did his solo thing that was pretty different, and plus, I really haven't listened to them in ages. But they just went up and played their music and did it damn well.

I have a feeling that they're happy to be back doing a group thing :) At least that's how I like to think of it XD

Also, I've noticed every time I've seen them live they've gotten better - practice makes perfect ;)
