i have had my pink 4gb ipod mini for 2.5 years, and it has survived dents, scratches and the fact that now the lid is falling off. But she works like a charm!

I saw a video of the iPhone in use, the touchscreen seems pretty nice (it can sense at least 2 fingers moving on it simultaneously in order to do different sorts of things -- usually with laptop touchpads if you touch two fingers to them they kinda just average the position and think that you're touching with one finger somewhere in the middle of where you're really touching).
