Ew.
You'd think that if they're going to do something to change their situation, they'd affect the people who make the rules and not the people who have no say in the situation.
That's so assholish.

the dispute is an issue that affects 106 transit workers, so they decided to screw with 700,000 people. And they already complain that some people are rude to them, argue about fares, etc. This is a great way to earn some respect. Geez

Oh noes, they're in public service and people are rude to them?? HOW HORRIBLE!

...I spent the last seven years working retail, and I have yet to have a day without at least one rude person being nasty to me for no reason.

don't say "people" in a way that makes it sound common. Apparently they have a problem with kids/teens arguing to not pay the fare, etc.

And they are unionized... some of these people make way more than me, have complete job security, and don't have a high school education... I find it hard to feel bad for them sometimes.

TSB I slept in and was almost late for work. When I got there they told me I could either ask to cover for someone else or go home. I took the easy route and went home. Although I should have stayed to make money. In short, it sucked because I didn't have enough willpower to work when I didn't have to!
