On a much smaller scale but in the same vein, while I was on my glider scholarship they showed us a video of a glider trying to land and veering into the trees at the side fo the runway and getting DESTROYED.... then they showed closeup of the wreckage and I caught sight of the tailfin and it said C-GTGB and I was like oh that looks familiar OH MY GOD THAT'S MY PLANE.
So basically I got to see a video of the terrible crash of the glider that they'd then rebuilt and put me in to fly by myself for the first time
Oh yeah, and rebuilt=applied duct tape to, apparently, judging by, well, the amount of duct tape holding my freaking airplane together.

Yay I survived the first flight!

It wasn't bad at all. My plane was a small one since it was a connecting flight. At takeoff, and when we landed, I think my stomach floated up to my throat. Other than that, it was really amazing. Definitely beats driving.

I told him to go up to the top of the Sears Tower and pee off it. I daresay he did not listen to me.

Yay Matt.
I get to fly in a seaplane tomorrow.
I'm finding that a little scary at the moment.

I've seen small mountain-ish places. But no major mountains (ie, huge, snow on top). Nothing impressive, just overblown hills.
