hmm...

i wouldn't be surprised if none of these made the new cd. because i heard a rumour a while back that brand new wrote an entire new album, and the record company hated it and told them to re-write it. we figured they'ed release the record company's reject anyway, but i dunno if that rumour was true

and the demos are so good. everyone should listen to them. esp. if these don't make the new cd.

:)

What kind of stinkface would tell Brand New to rewrite a record?!

I'm sure we'd all be pretty amazed over how stupid big label people can be. I doubt it's true though, and I doubt Brand New would succumb to the pressure.

I don't honestly think they waited this long on purpose. They probably did want to take their time with it, but with the switch to a major label, and then that major label being bought out by another label, sometimes bands can get caught in the shuffle. This might've been what happened to them. Or not.

Labels say stupid crap like that all the time. Silverchair was pressured to make their last (phenominal) album more radio friendly. They refused. Thank god.

But did their Australian label do that, or their American label? If it was the American, they're retarded... especially since they signed them after they left Epic. But I digress!

I don't remember... might've been American. It's on one the documentary they filmed during the making of the album.
