My mother survived breast cancer, I'm so proud of her for it.
Perhaps I should create a charity wristband for the 'Buy Reza an iPod' fund.

Just wanna add that I know of three more breast cancer bands, too. Two from thebreastcancersite.com, and one from the American Cancer Society.

breast cancer (hell, any cancer) is a scary thing. my mom got her breast cancer as my grandfather got over cancer in his bladder. odd timing...i know cancer runs in my family (especially now, its right in front of me). and i have to look out for heart disease...im so scared of pain though....im scared of my future....lets just hope ray kurzweil is right and by the time im sick i can inject robots into my bloodstream and be better.

The thought of people I love getting cancer or any other illness is far more terrifying to me than getting it myself.

Although it sucks having it yourself in some ways it's easier cos you just get on with the crap it involves. Watching other people go through it is much worse.

like I said, I couldn't find the exact picture of the bands I got, and the picture I posted was not the ones I actually ordered.
The bracelets I got had the american cancer society logo on the package, and they were through some sporting goods brand. I can't remember which one, sorry.
Gail, I understand where your concern comes from. I wish I had bothered to investigate it a little more so I could tell you exactly which charity they go to.
My best friends mother died 2 years ago from lung cancer that turned into brain cancer. It was awful to watch, and I hope no one that close to me ever has to go through that.

No problemo.
Katie, I hope you never have to go through it, either.

It's the most painful thing in the world.

I got my breast cancer band today (thanks, Katie

... I'm assuming you got the ones I sent you?) and decided to look it up to make sure it's legit.

That's the bracelet, there.
Here's the charity's site about the Wilson's participation:

i agree watching loved ones go through it is tougher, i didnt mean to sound insensitive to others lol...but what i meant was - seeing what they have to go through opens my eyes to never wanting to go through it myself....
also, anyone know of any for youth suicide prevention charities?

Oh wow, Nikki! Thanks!
I wasn't actually expecting you to send me bracelets! Thanks a million!
I felt the need to show off my now spffy collection of charity bracelets. And give my new camera a test run.
Thats my collection. The first three is a set of three I stole from my friend. I don't think they actually belong to a charity. They're just for style points. The red/white one is for the special olympics that I got from work. The pink is for brest cancer, the purple is from Nikki (<3), the blue is for the canadian wildlife federation (I think)
and the green is from Nikki. <3
