I haven't had time to do anything since I started working. :( Literally... I've done these things:

1) OLP in Philly
2) Beck in Camden
3) Jamiroquai in Atlantic City
4) OLP in Toronto
5) OLP at Juniata
6) Went to Wawa on the way home from work on 3 occasions to get cheese to make sandwiches for work
7) Went to the bank and Wawa to get milk (one trip)

That's it. That's literally all I've done other than work, relax, and sleep. I have no idea how I'm gonna get out to buy Christmas presents. :(

So you don't do anything but work? :P

I forced those concerts into my schedule. They make me even more exhausted. That's also over like a 3 month span. That's ALL I'VE DONE in 3 months. Literally. Nothing more. Haven't even gone food shopping or like... anything.

You have more than enough time to go shopping. You work in a shop - how hard can it be?

There are many many people who work full time (or more) and have to do all their own grocery shopping/cooking/cleaning/etc. etc. and still manage to do Christmas shopping. I know people who have to look after children on top of all that and they find the time. You have much more free time than them so no excuses!

It's cos I need 12 hours of sleep to be rested. If I were a normal person who could live on like 8 hours or less, I'd be able to do things. But my stupid body wants 12 or else it tells me "YOU'RE EXHAUSTED, I'M NOT GONNA LET YOU DO ANYTHING WITHOUT IT BEING PAINFUL MUHAHAHHA!!! AND FORGET ABOUT YOUR BRAIN FUNCTIONING AT ALL EVER!!!!"

:(

Oh, and we're not allowed to shop while we're working... not that we could, anyway, since the store's closed when we're there.

they're not gonna let you have a shopping time when work is closed for christmas? Are you sure? Cos I know lots of my friends who work in dept. stores told me that after the store closes, they're allowed to have one shopping night for christmas.
Handy

heh, on average, i get 5.5 hours of sleep per night. just train yourself to be able to sleep as soon as there's a free moment where you would otherwise be relaxing. if you're tired enough, like i always am, taking random naps throughout the day AND being able to fall asleep at night should be no problem at all.

I'm an insomniac. So yeah, that could never happen.

How many hours do you work every day? And don't you get a couple days off every week?

I work 8 hour shifts, then come home and try to relax for a little bit, and by the time I'm relaxed, it's bedtime for the next day of work. If I'm off, I sleep my entire day off cos I'm so exhausted from working the past few days. They usually schedule us 4 days a week, but our days off aren't usually in a row.

It's lovely, I've literally lost the will to live. :duncan:

What do you DO that is so tiring?

Welcome to the real world - and be glad you only have to work 4 days. You just have to learn to get used to it and make time for things you need to do. But sleeping 3 entire days a week just isn't good for you - there is such a thing as too much sleep.

Yeah...the fact that you're an insomniac AND you need to sleep 12 hours a day kind of makes it seem like you have a sleep disorder or something.

Duhhhhh. :P

Soozy, it might be the real world... but why should it be that way? I'm sorry, but I'll just never get used to the idea of wasting my entire time on this planet doing things I don't want to do.

You have to do things you don't want to do to be able to do the things you want to do. If you don't have a job you have no money and end up starving and sleeping on the street - which is much worse than the crappiness of having to work.

that's why the trick is to find something you enjoy doing and get paid for that
