I'm slowly getting pumped as the day goes on and as I regain feeling in my extremties from the cold snap.

If you can beleive it here in Ohio yesterday it was up to 70 yes that's right 70 degrees outside and it plumpted over night and our high today is supposed to be 34.

Anyways Gail should be arriving here by Noon and we'll try to get into the private Big Room set put on by the local radio station here.

And then in a perfect world we would then meet up with such notable CM'ers such as Lori, Nikki, or Matt but NOOOoooOOoooo.

[whining voice]

Geeez ... you people call yourselves dedicated :roll:

I drove 8 hours to Toronto ... uphill ... both ways ... in the driving rain ... and I got strip serached, poked and prodded by the border guards and they put me in a room with lions to try and coerce me to ... oh .. wait ... that was my visit to Guantamomo Bay ... umm ... never mind :eek:

Just got back, from possibly the best show ever, this topped Columbus of a few year back, this topped Royal Oak earlier this year, this show is ranking right up there with the State Theatre (Detroit) and the Drake show.

"This guy can't be serious!" you might say. Other woudl say "Poposterous" or even "Bullpuff"

Well to those naysayers adn the ones who thought it would be too far to drive I only have 3 simple words for you:

That is all for now, I'll leave you guys for now to mummur and ponder just what it is I have up my sleeve. In the meantime I'm going to bed.

Best OLP show yet, sooo awsome i wanna go back right now, even though i got lost and didn't get home til 4 in the morning...... awsome setlist

Gail was awsome and got us in to meet the band, only 6 of us til the let everyone by the gate in.........

we have a pic with 2 girls who met them with us and said they were signing up, let me know who you are, if you see this!

Part I:

Day Started of meeting up w/ Gale at the Greyhound station making a B line back to my place to change grab some eats then a B Line to CD101 studios where OLP was doing a small accoustic set for about 30 contest winners.

So we get there and there are about 25 people in the room. Not being a contest winner Gale said she had ties with the band, tour mgr all that and asked to be added to the list. Didn't deamand or anything just asked. "Hey I came 12 hours form NYC to see these guys ..." etc.

So the girl wrote down our names and hands them to some lacky intern who could get us in the actual studio. He was supposed to hadn it off to Andyman the DJ pretty much in charge of things but it doesn't look like he did that.

The Mullet wearing intern got people lined and some 25 fans went through into the studio (Capactiy of roughly 30) then said any interns / CD101 staff could go in and about half a deozen fo them went in. Including one who was asked at the last minute: "Are you going in?" his response "*thinking about it for a sec* Uhh .. Err .. ok I guess"

Mullet boy closes the doors then says to us "It will be just a second", No problem I respond POLITLEY and not coping any attitude, and he walks back to his desk while we listen to the fisrt song through the doors and on the radio feed.

He goes back in the studio at the end of that song then back out. Gail asked "Are we going to ge to go in?" "We'll see" his response.

Another song goes by and Mullet boy goes by again.
Gail: "Can we at least see the last song?"
Mullet boy: "Sorry it's full, this was for contest winners only"
Gail: "Then why couldn't you had told us in the first place we couldn't go in?"
Mullet boy: Says something trying not to place the balme on blwoing us off on himself.

More discussion contiues (Semi-less politly but not mean or hatefull) as we felt rightly blown off by this asshat. At which point he asks us to leave the studio becuase he didn't like us telling him how to do his job.

We get back in my car and pull up closer to the studio then walk up to the side entrance basically jsut as OLP finshed.

Gail said hello to Chris one of the techs, as he loaded up some equipment. Then Raine walks out ...

Raine: "*Puzzled WTF? Look on his face* Gail?! Where were you?"
And we proceed to tell him about what happened and we all go on talking to the band for a few like we've all known each other for years (Which at least Gail has)

I got my setlist signed by everyone from the Cbus show a few years back.
Raine: "Wow this is kinda cool" *referring to 'Walking in Circles' as this shwo was pre-HIPT*

All this while lacky intern power trip boy stares on just inside the doorway.

So we then take off for the concert venue, I jsut follow the van OLP was in assuming they were heading to the venue themselves. But as I follow them I realize their heading away from the venue (Mind you this is the city I live in).

A little "Driving in Circles* progresses and they pull into a Holiday Inn. We deicde not to pull in right behind them in order to be less stalker like.

So we head back to the venue, Gail finds Karen(?) the tour manager who says it won't be any problem to come into soudncheck at about 5:30 (It was 4:00 at the time)
