  "bemazled" That should be added to the dictionary.

an overwhelming sense of awe that causes one to jumble words. :P

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

I actually can sing like Raine to most of Our Lady Peace's song very well, especially Superman's Dead. (Not to mention I can also sing like Stephan Jenkins of Third Eye Blind as well). I have gotten many compliments on my singing voice.

"If you were to stay, would you feed them with violence?

Nobody wants to harm you when you're outside
But it's hard to believe when everyone's killing time
But somebody knows that you're just not laughing
You're not laughing
No no no not yet, no no no no, no no no not yet, no no no no."

Happy indeed! :P

I know what you mean, though. The tune itself is fairly upbeat. To me that just adds an extremely creepy quality to it.

It's like the song is the exaggeratedly happy smile that he's putting on for show, and the lyrics reveal what's really inside.

yes, yes, and yes! i was about to say all that but you beat me to it.

the dark lyrics with the upbeat sound, it's wonderful contrast. one of the many reasons i like olp.

and you know how naveed sounds dark, but is still supposed to keep a sense of optimism throughout? same thing.

Oh how I love the "highs"

To be honest, that's what turned me to olp in t he first place. I heard AF on the radio..and in the middle of the song...exactly 2:29 into the song, when Raine starts the little "high" episode...i was like  this band is very different. Then duncan and mike on guitars and Jeremy's drum playing on this song just totally turned me on to it....then I discovered OLP....:)

And I think my personal fave is the ending of car crash <3
