Now technically God can't be evil. If God represents all that is good and pure, and the laws of balance must apply then God had to create the Devil for the purpose of representing all that is evil and unpure in the world. If God knows all and created all, he must then have knew what he was doing when he made the Devil to create the balance. Now math is good because it is very useful to us and can assist in every day life, but in keeping with the balance it is also evil, because well it sucks and is hard. Therefore the influence of the bad part would come from the Devil and not from God.
