ahhhh the homeland.

Really though, the Catholics do have a reason to be angry. Why are the British irish angry? They already raped our country and took the whole northern half. But i shouldn't say that, they're angry because Catholics bomb there houses and such.

Really, can't we all just get along?

but as i said before, really the protestants have no legitamate claim to Ireland, after all they did just rape and pillage to get what they have.

sorry i'm a bit drunk and irrational, i really just wish the whole country could live in peace, it after all my homeland, but i do sympasize with the Catholics more then the Protestants and not because of religion, i'm not religious at all rather anti-religious actually, but anyone thathas studyed teh history objectively shoudl be able to understand who the bad guys in this feud are, protestants were usurpers, and took the country from the native irish, which is why the Catholics are mad, the British government still controls Northern Ireland, even though they have no right to it.

consider it bitterness on my family's part due to the fact that we were nobility in Kerry with the castles and titles and the whole shebang untill teh british took it from us. Then we ended up being poor, suffering peasants Angelas Ashes style untill a few members moved to Canada

Most of us could probably say something similar.

i've actually never heard the protestant side of the argument though, what really could their argument possibly be? Well, we did Rape and Pillage your country men, but we've lived here a long time since so we deserve to rule your country?

i don't think there shoudl be fighting over relgion in the country. But i do think that the british should just give the Northern half back to the rightful Irish people, if the British settelers and their decendants don't like it they can move back to Britain, fair is fair after all. I understand that it would involve probably a more violent reaction though then when the Jews were asked to leave the Gaza strip. But really british decendants shouldn't be asked to leave Ireland, but they should accept the fact that the Irish people are the rightful owners of Northern Ireland, and shoudl subject themseleves to Irelands rule as long as it is not discrimitory.

Britian coudl in the long run avoid so much conflict by just retruning Ireland to it's rightfull people. After all we've been their kick around for centuries already, and also most likely a burden on the British government as well.

i agree with him though....but the only part of ireland that really has this bitterness is the north. the rest of ireland doesn't care. that's why going to the north is really sad, they're sooo hateful, it's disgusting. made me want to cry.
