I'll do you one better. This new kid came into my group of friends in high school who had the same name as me, and since I was the original, they renamed him Leroy, and it stuck like glue. We'd call his house and ask his mom if Leroy was there and she wasn't the least bit confused. It was hilarious. The best bit is that he was almost renamed Francine.
