Ugh....I just needed to say something about it because I can't shake it. She was the aunt I was closest too all my life. Now, I'm a 1000 miles away and won't get to say goodbye or anything.

I'm sorry to hear this man, this will never be easy to go through.

My opinion though, chances are most people would make the trip to attend the funeral. If money's the issue and you'd be going to the funeral, that's going to cost money anyway. You should definitely put the money to better use and visit her while she's still around. Sure a funeral is a ceremony for loved ones, but it'll never compare to having time with her while she's still with you. You can always pay your respects at any time when she's gone, try to be with her while she's still here.

Here here, Lando. Good advice.

You can always vent your mind here, Neil. Someone out there can relate to you, and we're all just an e-mail, instant message, or a phone call away if you need us. Lando is right, if you can be there now, do it. It will mean so much more to both of you.

Johnny I am starting to think you are an alcoholic.

Neil I am so sorry! I agree with Neil though. If there is any possible way you can swing it, get out there and visit! You will always regret it if you don't.

Because you're totally in love with Neil and therefore any male name automatically becomes Neil?

Because....just admit it. You're obsessed with saying my name. haha

Well, I'd love to get up the money to hurry up and fly home; its just not possible. I'm lookin at needing 500.00 or so to get the round trip flight; not to mention having to request time off on short notice from work.

Its only going to be a matter of hours/days before my aunt passes; I'm simply trying to make peace.

Its just odd....I was sad when i found out, but now I sporadically cry knowing she is going to pass, soon.
