Why is no-one else posting in this thread??
Much love for Matt. Last night's show in Kingston was excellent other than the sound wasn't good where we were stood. Christine stood in the front row knitting and caught the attention of the guitarist (Stu) who brought it to Matt's attention who exclaimed that he really must be getting old to have fans knit at the concert.

It was awesome
The only negative thing about the entire night would just be that the sound wasn't as great as it could have been because of where we were seated - in the right side balcony. But besides that, it was fantastic. Hearing 'Apparitions' with the band was freaking sweet
I'm seeing him again next week in Mississauga and I'm ridiculously excited about that too.
p.s. I'm almost positive I spotted Robbo when I was leaving the venue but I was too shy to say hello..
In other news, this made me laugh when I read this on Matt's blog yesterday.

Perhaps the individual was confused. Perhaps he had had experiences with former members of the band and crew. I have no idea. Times have changed folks. They changed a long time ago, after the dissolution of the Matthew Good Band. I don’t employ individuals that do drugs, nor do I tolerate their use anywhere near me, as I do not do drugs. Having discovered that a few individuals close to me, some band and crew, the other “in it for the money”, had been doing drugs on the road in 2005, and keeping it from me, it’s something that I am extremely vigilant about now.

so they moved the matt good concert in regina from the Conexus Arts Centre where it was an all ages show to the Drink nightclub and are telling people under 19 to return their tickets... that's super lame, doing it like a week before the concert. Matt sells less tickets so a nightclub/bar can sell booze.

That's a really sucky thing to do though, but they must have had some kind of reason to do it.

I was planning to see MG on Friday but the show was canceled at the last minute because of the weather. I was caught outside cowering under a crappy awning in one of the most severe storms I've ever experienced... along with about 100 other people. I've never been so soaking wet and cold before. Ggrr!
Hopefully I'll catch Matt next time he passes through the area!

I agree. I was under the awning as well.. hoping that the large lightning rod was enough to protect me from dying while standing in ankle high water under a large metal-framed tent.

Yeah, I highly doubt that Matt decided he wanted booze and demand a venue change. It was probably the promoter or some garbage. Still a lame thing to do.

Ha! There were a few different tents/awnings and groups of people but I think we were under the biggest one. I was drenched by the time I got there and then I continued to get wet from rain coming in sideways and from the 3 inches of water I was standing in.
I particularly enjoyed the angry-looking purple sky. Fun times!

the venue...sucked. well, it would have been good had he sold a lot less tickets. i'm assuming it was moved because he didn't sell as well as expected...but the venue they moved it to was too small for what he did sell.
the floor in front of the stage was weird...it was slightly raised from the normal floor (there was a noticeable incline), and the area that was higher was extremely small. therefore, those who weren't on that raised floor were pretty much screwed for view.
his show was pretty good tonight...although it seemed very short. he played 15 songs (i only know this cause a certain someone nabbed me a set list), but it felt like a lot less. he also didn't talk much at all.
i dunno. it was good...but i much much preferred the two solo acoustic shows i went to.

It looks like he's cut the setlist down a bit. I think they played 18 songs at most of the shows I was at. I don't blame him though as he was exhausted after all the shows I saw.

yeah the set definitely felt short. it would've been nice to have known the venue beforehand because the raised dance floor area in front of the stage was really dumb, but it was still a good show. His acoustic tour was definitely better though.

I agree. I think there was something more organic and raw in the last acoustic tour. Perhaps it was close on the heals of the year of tumultuous changes?? It helps that the sound at the acoustic show I saw was amazing.
