see how there are aisles on each side of the middle seating? well if you're looking down at the audience like that picture, i'm first row to the left, just outside of the picture.

Outside the picture? That's not on. We should ask Matt to do the concert again and make sure you're in it this time!

So yesterday some guy called into 97.7 (Ontario) and requested "More Human Than Human by ... Matthew Good! I'm pretty sure that's who does it!"

And KK didn't even make fun of him. And then when the song was over, she played another guy saying "Hey are you going to let that idiot call Rob Zombie Dave Matthews?! Idiots shouldn't be on the radio!" and KK said "That's right sir, idiots shouldn't be on the radio!" and hung up on him.

It made me laugh.

So acoustic Matt is freakin' awesome.

He played Advertising on Police Cars by request which was pretty sweet. And he made fun of metal.

"Play some Slayer!"
"...Slayer? Dude, all metal is just like (h.o p.o on the first fret), except it's in dropped D. And some guy solos for like ten minutes."

"..If you're a metal band you've got to have the devil on the cover of your album. Unless you're one of those lipstick metal bands... then you're just trying to not look gay on your album cover."

he talked about the homoeroticism in metal at our show. with the makeup and what not. he also demonstrated the three different things that metal bands do on their guitars. someone also requested iron maiden (lando, correct me please, cause i don't actually remember the band) and he promptly replied with 'i don't know any iron maiden.'

....yeah, i didn't explain that well. it was a lot better in person.

yeah he was making fun of metal and finger tapping along the fret board to demonstrate how metal is played and then some guy yelled for him to play maiden and he ran off stage and smashed the guy in the face with his guitar... okay that didn't happen... but he just said he didn't know any maiden.

I'm listening to one of the shows I went to last year. This year's better not be so depressing.

Matt was pretty hilarious at this show. He should do stand-up.

He was doing stand up at last year's shows too. But the songs themselves just make me want to cry.

Tonight's show was wonderful. The banter wasn't up to its usual standards, but musically it was great. Then after I got to sit on Matt's lap and have my picture taken (his idea!) along with Yannic and her friend.
