so i just found out that the newfoundland government has given me a $3500 millennium bursary. my mom wants me to use it to repay some of my student loan, but right now i'm leaning towards saying "screw that!" and taking the money and going on a little trip to saskatoon instead.

seems this time of the year is turning out to be quite eventful indeed!

bursary = money for school. Sometimes it's based on marks or other performance, sometimes it's based on financial need.

Ah. We call them grants. I need one ...really bad. I know you can qualify when you turn 23...but I won't turn 23 till halfway through next year. I suppose I need to look into this.
