omg I'm so jealous. Although, that wouldn't really work for me based on the amount of money I need to earn to pay bills and live. But I'm still jealous

Yeah... not needing the money definitely helps. Though, I could use it. Need to save up for all my trips! But... time off is much needed. I'm so not cut out for this working thing. *still tired after all those days off*

				I found a picture of
Jeff Rowland's leg a month after he got bit by that spider and I CAN'T STOP STARING AT IT:
http://flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=100129426&size=o
[linked due to size, cause you need to see it full size to appreciate it]
The black part (necrotized, mummified tissue) was surgically removed about a month later

It looks kind of fake to me. Can someone tell me why a spider bite would do that? I need more convincing.

It's definitely real. He got bit by a brown recluse spider (aka fiddle spider) whose bite can cause skin necrosis and occasionally death. He couldn't even walk for nearly a month. Also,
http://www.wigu.com/whatever/stages.jpg <--- these pictures are way grosser, i'm mostly fascinated by the one I posted up there ^
PS. If you're brave, you can do a GIS of "brown recluse bite"
