Man, the other day I was listening to a song and I was thinking
"If the OMG SUPERCOOL LYRIC THREAD LIKE WHOA!" ever gets resurrected, I have to post this!

...and I haven't the slightest clue anymore what song it was.

Tiptoe down
To the holy places
Where you going now
Dont turn around

Little girls
In their party dresses
Didnt like
Anything there

Pretty boys
With their sunshine faces
Carrying their
Heads down

Tiptoe down
To the lonely places
Where you going now
Dont turn around

drives me out of my mind crazy.

it's good for ambiguity and open interpretation, but when there's a word i just can't come to accept as anything it frustrates me to no end.

The Smiths - Meat Is Murder

Heifer whines could be human cries
Closer comes the screaming knife
This beautiful creature must die
This beautiful creature must die
A death for no reason
And death for no reason is MURDER

And the flesh you so fancifully fry
Is not succulent, tasty or kind
It's death for no reason
And death for no reason is MURDER

And the calf that you carve with a smile
Is MURDER
And the turkey you festively slice
Is MURDER
Do you know how animals die ?

Kitchen aromas aren't very homely
It's not "comforting", cheery or kind
It's sizzling blood and the unholy stench
Of MURDER

It's not "natural", "normal" or kind
The flesh you so fancifully fry
The meat in your mouth
As you savour the flavour
Of MURDER

NO, NO, NO, IT'S MURDER
NO, NO, NO, IT'S MURDER
Oh ... and who hears when animals cry ?

I'm not a vegetarian, but they lyrics are still good non-the-less.

no i'm not colour blind
i know the world is black and white
i try to keep an open mind
but i just can't sleep on this tonight

stop this train i want to get off and go home again
i can't take the speed it's moving in
i know i can't
but honestly, won't someone stop this train

don't know how else to say it,
i don't want to see my parents go
one generation's length away
from fighting life out on my own

stop this train
i want to get off and go home again
i can't take the speed it's moving in
i know i can't
but honestly won't someone stop this train

so scared of getting older
i'm only good at being young
so i play the numbers game
to find away to say that life has just begun

had a talk with my old man
said "help me understand"
he said "turn sixty-eight"
"you'll renegotiate"

"don't stop this train
don't for a minute change the place you're in
and don't think i couldn't ever understand
i tried my hand
john, honestly we'll never stop this train"

once in a while, when it's good
it'll feel like it should
when you're all still around
and you're still safe and sound
and you don't miss a thing
till you cry when you're driving away in the dark.

singing stop this train i want to get out and go home again
i can't take this speed it's moving in
i know i can't
cause now i see i'll never stop this train

john mayer- stop this train <3

I will light the match this morning, so I won't be alone
Watch as she lies silent, for soon light will be gone
Oh I will stand arms outstretched, pretend I'm free to roam
Oh I will make my way, through, one more day in...hell

How much difference does it make
How much difference does it make...

I will hold the candle, till it burns up my arm
I'll keep takin' punches, until their will grows tired
Oh I will stare the sun down, until my eyes go blind
Hey I won't change direction, and I won't change my mind

how much difference does it make
how much difference does it make..
how much difference...

I'll swallow poison, until I grow immune
I will scream my lungs out till it fills this room

How much difference
How much difference
How much difference does it make
How much difference does it make...

Billy and his family
Went on a holiday
They went down to Florida
To laugh and dance and play
Bill went in for a swim
He didn't see the harm
But when he came back out again
He was short an arm!

'Cause Rippy The Gator went CHOMP, CHOMP, CHOMP!
Rippy The Gator went CHOMP, CHOMP, CHOMP!
Passing the time By ending children's lives
Down in the bottom of the swamp, swamp, swamp..

Billy and his father
Went out to play some catch
But Billy missed the pass
Because his arm was unattached
The ball flew past his shoulder
And it rolled into the swamp
When he went wading after it
His leg became a stump!

'Cause Rippy The Gator went CHOMP, CHOMP, CHOMP!
Rippy The Gator went CHOMP, CHOMP, CHOMP!
Passing the time By ending children's lives
Down in the bottom of the swamp, swamp, swamp..

Billy and his father
Joined a three-legged race
They were tearing up the field
No one could keep the pace
But Billy tripped and did a flip
And landed in the muck
He was running out of limbs
And also out of luck!

'Cause Rippy The Gator went CHOMP, CHOMP, CHOMP!
Rippy The Gator went CHOMP, CHOMP, CHOMP!
Passing the time By ending children's lives
Down in the bottom of the swamp, swamp, swamp..

Billy was all dirty
He really had to wash
But he couldn't use a towel
'Cause his limbs had been gnawed off.
He went into the water
To get all clean and bright
But when he was finished
He was only half his height.

'Cause Rippy The Gator went CHOMP, CHOMP, CHOMP!
Rippy The Gator went CHOMP, CHOMP, CHOMP!
Passing the time By ending children's lives
Down in the bottom of the swamp, swamp, swamp..

Billy's father rolled his wheelchair
Up upon a hill
He wanted to take Bill
Where he would not get killed
But he left him on a slope
And into a swamp he rolled
They dragged out his head
But there was nothing down below!

'Cause Rippy The Gator went CHOMP, CHOMP, CHOMP!
Rippy The Gator went CHOMP, CHOMP, CHOMP!
Passing the time By ending children's lives
Down in the bottom of the swamp, swamp, swamp..
Passing the time by ending children's lives
Down in the bottom of the swamp
(Down in the swamp..)

That was a great closer.

I will scream my lungs out till it fills this room

Especially apt, wouldn't you say? :D

Manics - Yourself.

Your ritual everyday
A mild shower soak in aftershave
Best clothes do your best
Look in the mirror go on
Belittle yourself yourself yourself
Belittle yourself yourself yourself

You go on day after day
Dreaming on a lie
That you keep locked inside
Of yourself, yourself, yourself
Of yourself, yourself, yourself

Can you sleep tonight?
Cast aside for some pouting young pup
Sink into a slurred veneer
Alcoholic haze so now
Least you can like yourself yourself
Least you can like yourself yourself

You go on day after day
Reservoirs of guilt
That your fixed grin always hides
And yourself, yourself, yourself
Of yourself, yourself, yourself
And yourself, yourself, yourself
Of yourself, yourself, yourself

You look at ad's all day
Everyone is perfect and you're so lame
Free scent burns your skin
But no smell can really cover sin
Too many teenage holes to fill
Too many teenage holes to fill

You go on day after day
Speak 'til your despised
And blanking your loved ones
And yourself, yourself, yourself
And yourself, yourself, yourself
And yourself.

So perfect I very almost cried.

Both the previous times I saw them they finished with Baba O'Riley and Yellow Ledbetter, which was great, but nothing compared to the Rockin' In the Free World/Indifference combination.

You've seen them three times?! That was my first. You're from London aren't you? Daaaarrrn sarrrrrf? No wonder! Lucky bastards get all the great gigs.

Yeh, I'd take our closer out of the two, but I wouldn't be complaining either way.

Anyway, not to spam...

The Smiths - What She Said

What she said :
"How come someone hasn't noticed
That I'm dead
And decided to bury me ?
God knows, I'm ready !"
La-la-la ...

What she said was sad
But then, all the rejection she's had
To pretend to be happy
Could only be idiocy
La-la-la ...

What she said was not for the job or
Lover that she never had
Oh ...
No no no ...

What she read
All heady books
She'd sit and prophesise
(It took a tattooed boy from
Birkenhead
To really really open her eyes)

What she said :
"I smoke 'cos I'm hoping for an
Early death
AND I NEED TO CLING TO SOMETHING !"
No no no no ...

Better with the music, obviously.
