so you mean to tell me that this one man held the answers to one of the world's biggest questions, and not one person has ever written an article about him to the point where even if you google'd "proof that god doesn't exist" you couldn't find him?

Listen, I'm not siding that God exists. I really haven't put too much energy into it to decide what I believed, but from a strictly debating argument, you're not helping your cause...

i know i'm not, but truly religious arguments can never be solved really either you believe or you don't there's too much evidence to support both sides if you're good enouhg at debating

what a shame.

When the hell is the American government going to seperate state from church? Marriage by the state should have nothing to do with marriage by the church, and if a couple chooses to do one, but not the other, that is their choice, but a church should not dictate federal law.

Province by province basis. I believe Ontario and BC are the only ones but I may be wrong.

Yes, but I think other provinces are jumping on board as time goes on. Mainly I think these two are the only ones so far because they have the largest homosexual population. The gay community in other provinces isn't quite as prominent.

Ugh. Nearly 4000 marriages annulled? Wow. I was so happy to hear about the marriages earlier this year. This is just sickening.

Cass wrote:You are correct, it does say that. But the laws in the Bible were based on the laws of Moses, which were based on the ten commandments. Which are just basic moral guidelines. The state laws are based on a fundamental moral system.

yeah i'd like to rag on this again.

Explain what morals have to do with the Bible? and how that's connected to the American constitution. Keeping in mind that most forefathers believed in seperation and as i said before several were atheists

haha for real. i'm a bit late in this convo, but ont., bc, quebec and the yukon are the only ones that offer same-sex marriages. see if i were david miller, i'd invite all of those couples whose marriages were annulled, and to all gay couples in general, to come up here. a lot of american couples were married when we first offered it.
