Housecall found a Trojan, and I proptly deleted it before my computer could freeze again. Didn't stop to see the exact file name, though.

I downloaded Spybot (free full spyware detector), and cleaned a bunch of shit from my computer. Seems to have worked!

i am a fan of the ad-aware, but kick ass!

Oh, I have Ad-Aware, but it missed a shitload of stuff (it usually tends to pick up one file from a group, often .dll or .exe, but tends to miss a lot of stuff related to it) and most of what it does catch consists of Tracking Cookies.

Spybot is way better than Ad-aware.

Thus far it appears so.

Although, AdAware does get some stuff that Spybot misses.

Right now, I'm using a shitload of stuff to protect/scan my computer...

McAfee Virus Scan
McAfee Firewall
Ad-Aware 6
Spybot
Housecall (online scanner)

:freak:

How can I share a program with my old man? We each have seperate accounts and the program that I need to share is called Internet Call Direct. I got it up and ruunning on my account but, not on my old mans account. How can I get it to work on his?

Another thing involving email. On mine and his, we both use outlook BUT its the same mailing address;his. I use for ebay. BUT my ebay mail is going into his mailbox and his mail is comming into mine. I need to go into both. Am I making any sense?

Ugh. This is why XP's dumb accounts thing is worthless.

I... umm... really don't feel like trying to explain how computers work. Heh. *runs*

Oh, and I use Spybot, too. Screw Ad-Aware. I installed it and it freaking screwed my computer over and I had to format... after JUST getting it working again 2 days previous. I freaking hate that program.

Get RID of Ad-aware ASAP and get SpyBot.

I have the 100+ dollar payable version of Spybot, and nothing beats it. From what I hear, ad-aware has "spyware" built into it. so go figure, it doesn't work.

Spybot works great....

Don't.........believe me. Even the free version of Spybot (like Rob has....) is better than ad-aware.

Hey.......does anybody know how to make desktop wallpapers?? Even if its just a simple one, like putting some pictures together.

Also.....does anybody on the hub have freakin "paint" that they could share long enough for me to download??? I think it got deleted from my computer at some point, probably by my own dumbass fault.
