Boo.

I was so proud of my brother when he told me he doesn't have to go to summer school, because he's had 30s and 40s all year in most of his classes.

I think his teachers are sick of dealing with him and passed him so the poor kid wouldn't have to stay back a year

He's not dumb, he just doesn't always do his work. But when he does do his work, he gets lower grades than when he doesn't even bother doing it at all. Can someone explain this to me? He's such a smart kid, I hate to see him with such poor grades, because while I know they don't come close to reflecting intelligence or learning, they are necessary to get into college and he wants to get into a good school but just isn't doing well enough. *sigh* I hate this school district.

I've seen his papers and homework. He is a very talented writer, very passionate about what he writes about, and yet, he gets bad grades. It makes no sense.

i hate how many geniuses in the world are shunted aside by grades. it sucks. grading systems make the world a terrible place.
